Brookfield established a presence in South Korea with the opening of its Seoul office in 2013. In 2016 Brookfield Acquired the International Finance Centre (IFC) Property Portfolio in Seoul.
IFC is a mixed-use precinct developed in 2012 comprising three office towers, tenanted by leading multi-national corporations and global retailers, a retail mall and the luxury Conrad hotel.
The properties are directly connected to the Yeouido subway station through an underground pedestrian walkway.
Since 2014, over US$5bn of capital has been invested from over 35 Korean institutional investors alongside Brookfield in various investment strategies around the world. As Brookfield’s presence continues to grow across Asia, we expect to continue our prudent investment activity in South Korea.
